Kit Contents:
1. 100g of nutrient agar powder
Basic Instructions:
1. Add 23 g of nutrient agar powder to 1 Liter of water.
2. Boil the mixture and stir until the agar is completely dissolved and melted
3. Recommended Step: Put the mixture in a pressure cooker safe containers (such as mason jar) and loosen the lid. Put the mixture in a pressure cooker or autoclave, and heat for 30-45 minutes at 15psi.
4. Carefully pour your agar into Petri dishes (not included) and wait several hours for the agar to solidify
5. Test different objects (e.g. teeth, phone, toilet, etc.).
6. Gently wipe the samples onto the surface of the agar plate.
7. Close the lid and turn the plate upside down so that the lid is on the bottom and agar is on the top.
8. Incubate plates at 84-100°F using a portable heater or a desk lamp. Keep a thermometer nearby.
9. Watch stuff grow! Results should be visible in 1-4 days.
