Mold Lab Test

Click the button below to mail your petri dishes for lab testing. You will be asked to enter some basic information & to choose between Kapak & EMSL labs (see descriptions below). For questions, email us at support@evvivasciences.com.

Important Note-Please Read:

For air quality testing, we highly recommend setting up a control sample. To do this, set up one petri dish outside at the nearest outdoor location (ideally at the same time/date as the inside air sample). Follow the same procedure used to test indoor air (i.e. leave the dish open for 2 hours to collect mold). The control sample will allow you to compare indoor vs outdoor mold types and levels. The control sample will often help you to better understand the normal concentration and variety of moldiness in the concerned household, neighborhood, or city. A control sample is also $45 each with Kapak Labs.

Please note that our mold test kit is not a substitute for a professional mold assessment performed by a certified mold inspection company. Our kit can be helpful for providing preliminary results about the types and amounts of mold present but should be followed up with a professional in-person mold inspection service. Please read our Full Disclaimer Below.

Please note this test kit is not designed to determine any health effects or risk from exposure to mold growing in

your home. If you or family members are suffering from health problems which you believe are

related to mold exposure or indoor air quality please seek appropriate medical advice from an allergist,

1.     Accuracy and Limitations: This kit is designed to provide a preliminary indication of mold presence, and it is not a substitute for a certified mold specialist.  Our mold test kit can only detect airborne or surface mold or mold spores (depending on the method used with our kit) that are present in the area tested at the time of testing.  This kit may not detect all types or concentrations of mold. In addition, our test is very sensitive and during shipping and/or handling, our tests can occasionally develop mold contamination, which may lead to false positive results. For comprehensive mold analysis, we recommend professional mold testing by a certified professional. If a mold test is needed for legal or insurance purposes, a professional mold testing service should be used in place of this kit.  Evviva Sciences, LLC does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or usefulness of the results obtained from this kit.

2.     Health and Safety: This test kit is not designed to determine any health effects or risks from exposure to mold growing in your home, office, building structure, or other environment. If you or other family members are suffering from health problems that you believe are related to mold exposure or indoor air quality, please seek appropriate medical advice from an allergist or environmental or occupational physician. You may consider hiring a qualified indoor air quality or industrial hygiene consultant to perform your home's indoor air quality assessment.

3.     Usage Instructions: Follow the included instructions carefully to ensure the most accurate results. Improper use of the kit may lead to inaccurate readings.

4.     Liability: Evviva Sciences, LLC is not liable for any health issues, property damage, or property repair costs resulting from using this mold test kit. This includes, but is not limited to, costs related to the repair, replacement, or remediation of any property or items affected by mold. Users assume all risks associated with mold detection and remediation, including any secondary damage that may occur as a result of using the mold test kit or attempting to address mold issues based on the kit's results.

5.     Consultation: For severe mold infestations or health concerns related to mold exposure, seek professional advice from a certified mold inspector or healthcare provider.

6.     Snapshot in Time: Each test represents a “snapshot in time” of a small area of the home or other area tested to determine the presence of mold or mold spores. The results may not indicate the conditions throughout the entire home or building. Furthermore, conditions may have changed during the time between the testing of the area and the receipt of the results.

7.     Indemnification: By using this mold test kit, the user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Evviva Sciences, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to the use or misuse of this product.
